!A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO ALL THE HERITAGE STAFF AND PARTICIPANTS!
Heritage Soccer Club is sad to announce that Tracy Hamm, who was the Heritage Girls Technical Director, and has been with the club since 2005, is moving to Atlanta. The Atlanta Beat of the WPS (Womens Professional Soccer League) has signed Tracy to play for them in the 2010 season. We’ll miss her expertise and dedicated work with the Heritage girls teams very much, and we wish her continued success playing professional soccer.
"Heritage Soccer Club has allowed me to discover my passion for coaching. The players, staff and community have all helped fuel my desire to continue coaching at the collegiate level, as well as allow me to become a student of the game. With that being said, I signed a contract with the Atlanta Beat of the WPS and will be moving in late February to pursue a career in professional soccer. I'm extremely excited for the next phase of my life and wish all members of Heritage success. Thank you to everyone for your support and best of luck!"

Three members of the U18G Heritage Strikers have signed or are intending to sign NCAA letters of intent to play soccer at the collegiate level. Shoshana Wangerin (College Park HS) and Kelly Piol (College Park HS) will be attending Cal State Monterey Bay. Kaitlin Dick (Berean Christian HS) will be attending San Francisco State this fall and will be joining Heritage alumni, Nicole Smith (Alhambra HS 2009) to help solidify the Gators back line. Shoshana intends on studying Environmental Science at CSUMB while Kelly is undeclared at this time. Kaitlin will be studying Mechanical Engineering this fall at SFSU.
Monterey and SFSU are members of the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) which means that the rivalry between the girls that formed while in high school will continue in college.
Heritage coaches Tracy Hamm, Randy Madison, Larry Hall, and Barb Scoles were instrumental in getting the girls looked at by Coach Cairel and Hyde. Kaitlin and Shoshana have been members of Heritage Soccer Club since its inception back in 2002, the same year the Strikers were formed by then Coach Mark “Beege” Lambourne, who is now residing in Virginia with his family. “Having started the club to benefit the community and with the prime objective to provide a program to allow kids to learn the sport at another level, and therefore, provide a base for success at high school and college, it is very rewarding to see these young ladies reaching that goal. I am proud to have played a small role, along with the other coaches and volunteers at Heritage, with the first steps towards these ladies achievements. Congratulations!”, said coach Lambourne after hearing of the girl’s decision.
