| Head Coach Eric Utler led the Heritage Hammers, a Boys U15 Division I team, to a winning season this year. In August, the boys� team took 3rd place in their first tournament, the Tracy Summer Classic. The Hammers then took home the Championship in the Magic Cup tournament in Morgan Hill the following weekend. In September, the Hammers were eliminated from tournament placement at the Clovis California Odyssey Academy Cup only because they lost to the U.S. National Champions 3-1. The Heritage Hammers also had successful season in league play. They won 9 games and lost 1, resulting in a tie for first place between the Hammers and a Union City team. The Hammers had a rigorous training this year, which was a huge part of their success. In addition to Utler, Trainer Coach Jon Scoles and Assistant coaches Enrique Reyes and John Payn ran the training sessions for the boys. In addition, specialty goalkeeper training was provided by Pablo Gayton. The coaching staff fostered a strong team environment that encouraged the boys and was also a huge part of their success. The Heritage Hammers team is made up of Freshmen and Sophomores from Alhambra, College Park and Antioch High Schools. |

Heritage Boys U15 Division 1 team �The Hammers� take 1st place in Morgan Hill Magic Cup tournament
The Heritage U15 Boys soccer team �The Hammers� took 1st place in a tournament in Morgan Hill California on August 23-24. The Hammers are a Division 1 team of the Heritage Soccer Club in Pleasant Hill/Martinez.
The Heritage Hammers started off the tournament with a victory in their first game against MTH PAC Brazil 94 with a score of 4-1. The first goal was scored by Jordon Cisneros assisted by Cooper Shanks. The second goal was scored by Bo Hunter assisted by Fernando Llamas. Hector Morfin scored the third goal assisted by Alexis Orosco. Cooper Shanks scored the fourth goal unassisted. Goalkeeper Ethan Lipson-Gokcen made 12 saves during the game. The Hammers also won their second game against the Dublin Nomads with a score of 4-3. Fernando Llamas scored the first goal assisted by Hector Morfin. Alexis Orosco, Jordon Cisneros and Hector Morfin each scored a goal unassisted. Goalkeeper Ethan Lipson-Gokcen made 6 saves during the game. The Hammers concluded their third game in pool play with a victory against LaMorinda FC93 with a score of 3-0. The first goal was scored by Jordon Cisneros assisted by Oscar Cabeza. Tommy Seng and Hector Morfin each scored unassisted. Goalkeeper Fernando Llamas made 2 saves during the game.
At the conclusion of pool play, the Hammers were in first place in their flight and went to the championship game against the MP Strikers. The Strikers were a formidable opponent. The game was very tight with both teams fighting hard to win. At half time, the score was 1:0 for the Hammers. Shortly into the second half, the Strikers tied the game. The Hammers rose to the challenge and scored again before the conclusion of the game, winning 2-1. The first goal was scored by Bo Hunter. The second goal was scored by Jordon Cisneros. Oscar Cabeza assisted both goals. Goalkeeper Ethan Lipson-Gokcen made 10 saves during the game.
Final tournament results: Heritage Hammers placed 1st in the tournament, MP Strikers placed 2nd, Livermore Force placed 3rd and MTH PAC Brazil 94 place 4th.

Heritage Boys U15 Division 1 team �The Hammers� take 3rd place in Tracy Summer Classic
The Heritage U15 Boys soccer team �The Hammers� took 3rd place in a tournament in Tracy California on August 16-17. The Hammers are a Division 1 team of the Heritage Soccer Club in Pleasant Hill/Martinez.
The Heritage Hammers tied their first game against FC Fremont. The score was 1-1. The goal was scored by Jordon Cisneros, assisted by Jesse Reyes. The Hammers won their second game against South Valley United (a team from Visalia) with a 3-2 score. The goals were scored by Jordon Cisneros, Bo Hunter and Santiago Alejandro. Jordon Cisneros assisted Bo Hunter�s goal. The Hammers also won their third game against FC Bullard with a score of 3-1. Jesse Cook, Mario Salinas and Hector Morfin scored the three goals. Santiago Alejandro assisted both Jesse Cook�s and Mario Salinas� goals. With the points accumulated from the first three games, the Hammers were one of three teams vying for the championship spot in this tournament. The final placement would be determined by the last game played. The Hammers met Placer United in their last game. Placer was also in the top three teams. The game was hard fought. The score at the half time was 0-0. In the last few minutes of the game, Placer managed to score and won the game with the single goal. Goalkeeper Ethan Lipson-Gokcen made 19 saves during the 4 games.
Final tournament results: Heritage Hammers placed 3rd in the tournament, Placer placed 2nd and South Valley United placed 1st. Both Placer United and South Valley United are highly ranked teams in Northern California. Placer is ranked 10th and South Valley is ranked 17th. The Heritage Hammers are a newly formed team this year.
