- Do tournaments rely on GotSoccer Rankings?
We can't vouch for every event but those tournaments using GotSoccer tournament software are provided all the details on every team that applies and most use the rankings points for acceptance and seeding placement. Considering that most major events use Gotsoccer's Soccer Scheduler it's a good bet to say the rankings are very influential. - How long do ranking points last?
Points gained from an event are attached to a team for 12 months, or until the event is played again, whatever comes first.
- Why don't I see results from a tournament my team played in?
If the event used GotSoccer's Soccer Scheduler software the results will be automatically added to the rankings.
If the event did not use our software we will manually enter the teams winning their age-groups, linking the information with their team pages. Although GotSoccer attempts to process these results as soon as possible it can take several days and sometimes weeks, depending on the workload.
- Can an event report scores to GotSoccer?
It's coming! We'll have a tool available for tournaments to update its entire schedule along with scores into the GotSoccer system. In the meantime we're collecting the data manually.
- How do I notify GotSoccer regarding incorrect rankings?
All contact with GotSoccer regarding ranking points must be done via email. Also, all communication must come from either the team manager or coach and by using the tools available to them from within their team account. We rank over 50,000 teams and don't have the staff to handle phone calls from parents and players.
If you are a parent please have your team manager or coach convey your opinions and corrections through the correct tools.
- Do scores I input into the Game History within our team account apply to the ranking?
Only scores from GotSoccer events or results entered manually by Gotsoccer staff count toward rankings. Game History added by team staff are only used as a way to provide more informartion to tournament directors.
- What happened to the U11 rankings?
As more states move to 8v8 soccer for Under 11's and the introduction of academy programs for the younger groups we felt it is no longer possible to provide an accurate ranking system for this age-group.
- What types of events are ranked?
We rank outdoor tournaments held in the US using the 11v11 format. We do not include any 8v8 or small-sided play in the rankings for any age groups - including U12.
